FAQs
At Emerald Valley Law we believe everyone deserves representation, and we strive to advocate for you at more affordable prices. We work hard to resolve your matter in the most efficient manner possible – not fighting unnecessarily just to rack up billable hours and fees. Each client’s situation is unique and we will fight in court for you when needed, and also negotiate effectively when we can reach a settlement outside of court.
At your consultation, provide an outline of your issues, names of all parties involved, and the goals you have for your matter.
An initial down payment will be required at the time you hire us, and those funds are held in your attorney’s trust account for future legal services. We typically charge an hourly rate for work done on your matter. If the initial funds are used during the course of your case, we may request an additional down payment or discuss a payment plan to complete your matter.
Each family law case is very unique. For that reason, we can give you a general estimate but it is difficult to determine the specific length of time or total cost for your matter. We also recommend not comparing your case to a family member’s or friend’s case, as the specific facts of your situation are distinct from anyone else’s.
We accept electronic payments with credit/debit card, e-checks and paper checks or money orders. We do not accept cash.
Email or call us and leave a detailed message, including the best times to reach you.
